Tetrazol-2-ylacetic acid (2-TzaH) was found to react with CuCl2, PdCl2, and K2PtCl4 in water giving Cu (2-Tza) 2, PdCl2 (2-TzaH) 2· 2H2O and PtCl2 (2-TzaH) 2, correspondingly.
