Abstract Perfluoroheptylcopper (I) with 1-heptene and 1-dodecene gives mixtures of 1- (perfluoroheptyl) heptane and 1-(perfluoroheptyl)-2-heptene and of 1-(perfluoroheptyl) dodecane and 1-(perfluoroheptyl)-2-dodecene, respectively.
