Abstract: The photochemical reactions of 3-methylene-2, 2, 5, 5-tetramethylcyclohexanone (41, 3-ethylidene-2, 2, 5, 5-tetramethylcyclohexanone (5), and their photoproducts have been investigated. Direct irradiation of 4 produces a singlet-state 50: 50 photoequilibrium of 4 and 3, 3-dimethyl-5-isopropylidenecyclohexanone (9).
