Abstract A series of soluble fluorinated polyamides (4a-h) were synthesized from 2- trifluoromethyl-4, 4′-diaminodiphenylether (2) with various aromatic diacids (3a-c) and imide-containing diacids (3d-h) via direct polycondensation with triphenyl phosphite and pyridine.
