Furfural-imine functionalized mesoporous organosilica material has been synthesized by post-synthesis surface functionalization of 2D-hexagnoal mesoporous SBA-15 with organosilane precursor 3-aminopropyltriethoxy-silane (APTES) followed by Schiff-base condensation with furfural.
