N-Acetoacetyl derivatives of aliphatic and aromatic (S)-α-amino-acids exhibit enantiomorphic cd spectra in ethanolic potassium hydroxide. However, the cd spectra of both aliphatic and aromatic series are similar in a series of organic solvents.
