摘要

Semi-synthesis/partial synthesis of cobalamins 1 (vitamin B 12 derivatives, Fig. 1) modified in the axial base requires the synthesis of the lower axial ligand for the nucleotide loop. Among others, B3-deaza derivatives (Fig. 1) are of interest because they lack the coordinating nitrogen of the axial base but maintain the remaining structural features of the coenzyme.
