The cleavage of amide substrates (p-nitro-N-methyltrifiuoroacetanilide and p-nitro-N- methyldichloroacetanilide) with anionic nucleophiles was studied at 30° C in aprotic (acetonitrile and N, N-dimethylformamide) and protic (ethanol) media.
