Reactions between various gem-bromonitro alcanes BrA 1′–4 in the presence of tC 4 H 9 S − are shown to proceed at low temperature via either both radical coupling and S RN 1 or radical coupling only and to lead efficiently to (A 1′–4 ) 2 . ...
