Abstract The decomposition of ethyl diazoacetate catalyzed by Cu (II)-exchanged zeolite NaX, has been studied. Catalytic activity required at least 25% sodium exchange of the zeolite. From 25% exchange to higher exchange levels the decomposition rate increased
