Summary. The 3- and 4-trimethylsilyl-phthalic anhydrides have been prepared by oxidation of the corresponding o-xylenes and converted into dyestuffs of the type of phthalocyanines, phthaleins and chinophthalones. ... Im Gegensatz zu den aliphatischen Siliciumverbindungen ist das Gebiet der siliciumaromatischen Verbindungen noch wenig bearbeitet.
