X-ray single crystal analyses revealed the molecular geometry and molecular packing of odd-numbered α-oligothiophenes (septithiophene, quinquethiophene and terthiophene) in single crystals prepared by sublimation. Septithiophene crystallizes into triclinic, which is in contrast to the monoclinic packing of even-numbered oligomers.
