摘要

A mixture of benzoic anhydride, phthalic anhydride and benzene is formed by the reaction of bromo-or chlorobenzene, carbon monoxide and alkali metal carbonates or orthophosphates in the presence of nickel tetracarbonyl. Under optimum conditions, phthalic anhydride is obtained in 75% conversion.
