Since the well-known Kharasch table of relative electronegativities of univalent organic groups consists chiefly of aromatic groups, l we decided to place in the table some of the highly branched aliphatic groups available in this Laboratory. Following the method of Kharasch, the mixed dialkyl mercury compounds were treated with alcoholic hydrogen chloride.
