Abstract A number of hydroxytriazenes have been used as analytical reagents for various transition metals. In the present paper spectrophotometric studies of 3-hydroxy-3-(4- chlorophenyl)-1-(4-acetylsulfonyl) phenyltriazene in the determination of Fe (III) is being
