Abstract Regioselective synthesis of macrocycles, incorporating 3-oxo-4-amino-1, 2, 4- triazole derivatives, has been achieved by reactions involving N-alkylation, utilizing appropriate 1, ω-dihaloalkanes in the presence of metal hydroxide.© 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
