摘要

Abstract: Vanadium (V) in aqueous perchloric acid oxidized 2-ethylcyclobutanols and 2, 2- dimethylcyclobutanol to 4-hydroxyhexanal and 4-hydroxy-4-methylpentana1, respectively. In Hzl* O cyclobutanol gives 4-hydroxybutanol with I8O incorporated in the hydroxyl group. The oxidation of the cyclobutanols follows the rate law u= k [V (V)][ROHIho, with the relative reactivities for cyclobutanol, 2-ethylcyclobutanol, and 2, 2-dimethylcyclobutanol being 1. O ...
