The fluoride-catalyzed reaction of inorganic acyl Ruorides with fluoro olefins has been largely limited to carbonyl fluoride and carboxylic acid fluorides, lv2 to nitrosyl fluoride, 3 and to sulfur tetrafl~ oride.~ We now wish to report a fluoride-catalyzed reaction of fluoro olefins with sulfuryl fluoride to give fluoroalkyl sulfones and sulfonyl fluorides.
