Now we report the pharmacological properties of 8-hydroxy-2-(di-n-propylamino) tetralin (8- OH-DPAT; 4) which are consistent with the characterization of this compound as a central 5- hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) receptor agonist, devoid of DA-receptor stimulating activity.
