Abstract: The photochemistry of the three naphthalenemethyl esters, a-and P- naphthalenemethyl phenylacetates (1 and 5) and P-naphthalenemethyl P-naphthylacetate (lo), and two benzyl esters, benzyl a-and P-naphthylacetate (8 and 9), was examined in detail.
