Harnessing the power of olefin metathesis chemistry 1, 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f, 1g, 1h, 1i and 1j has led to a wealth of new opportunities in organic synthesis. As these are oftentimes ruthenium-catalyzed processes, additional advantage can be taken of the metal for further bond constructions in a one-pot tandem fashion.
