Abstract: The ir and uv spectra (T+ T* transition) of 18 cis and trans a-enones, RCOCHECHMe, have been studied (R= Me, Et, Pr, i-Bu, GPr, t-Bu, neoPe,-CH (Me)-t-Bu, and-CMe2-t-Bu).
