Abstract 1, 4-Bls (ethenylldene) cyclohexane(g) and I-ethenylldene-4- methylenecyclohexane (15) have been prepared and thermally lsomenzed to 1, 2, 3, 4-tetra- (13) and 1, 2, 4-trlmethyle---necyclohexane (g), respectively, at 500 C in a flow system It 1s proposed that these formally Cope-type rearrangements proceed via dlradlcal intermediates.
