Abstract Three new derivatives of vitamin B 12 with a pyrrole head group attached to the corrin ring have been prepared. Ligand-exchange reactions and reduction provided reactive Co III and Co II complexes. Their electro-chemical properties and their potential for fixation at the surface of electrodes by electropolymerization were studied.
