摘要

The required disulfones mere obtained from the corresponding sulfides (I) by oxidation with either hydrogen peroxide or, more conveniently, Y-chloroperbenzoic acid. 9 reaction time of from 24 to 48 hr was necessary for completion of the reaction. There was no evidence, based on ultraviolet spectral data, of oxidative att'ack at. the 10, ll double bond of compounds Ib and IC (see Table I).
