Abstract Sulfonating agents such as trimethylsilylchlorosulfonate or “dioxan, SO 3” adduct react with α-trimethylsilyl allenic compounds leading to an SO 3 insertion on the unsaturated bond and produce silyl esters of sulfonic acids in good yields.
