Abstract The synthesis of 1, 3, 5, 7-triazaphosphocine and 1, 3, 7-triaza-5-phosphabicyclo [3.3. 1] nonane derivatives via nitration, nitrosation and acetylation of 1, 3, 5-triaza-7- phosphaadamantane and its 7-oxide is reported. A comparison of the reactions of the triazaphosphaadamantane with the analogous reactions of hexamine is made.
