摘要

The first synthesis of pentaprismane, hexacyclo [4.4. 0.02, 5.03, 9.04, 8.07, 10] decane, is presented with full experimental details. A new and practical synthesis for homopentaprismanone is developed as is methodology for the functionalization of a bridgehead position α to the carbonyl group of this cage compound.
