Abstract: Although studies of the*-electron interactions in cyclophanes having decks with (4n+ 2) a-electrons are quite extensive, very little is known about cyclophanes with decks of 4n a-electrons or the forced interactions of 4n with 4n or 4n with (4n+ 2) a-electron systems.
