The role of a-glycerophosphoric acid, phosphorylcholine and phosphorylethanolamine in the biosynthesis of lecithins and cephalins has been recently established. 2 Three analogs have now been synthesized for use as potential inhibitors of the biosynthesis of the glycerophosphatides.
