Abstract A new method for the fluorination of arylsulfur chlorotetrafluorides to arylsulfur pentafluorides is described. The reaction is promoted by hydrogen fluoride generated from potassium hydrogen fluoride and trifluoroacetic acid which also serves as a solvent.
