Abstract An efficient method for the synthesis of 1, 4-diacylbenzenes has been developed employing bis-tetrabutylammonium dichromate as an oxidant. By this methodology, a series of aldehydes and ketones have been synthesised under mild reaction conditions in moderate yields.
