Abstract Immature seeds of M. ferruginea and subsp. ferruginea and subsp. darassana yielded three rotenoids (rotenone, tephrosin and 12a-hydroxyrotenone), four pyrano- isoflavones (ferrugone, durmillone, calopogonium isoflavone-A and barbigerone) and three novel C-prenylated isoflavones named preferrugone, predurmillone and prebarbigerone.
