Chlorina-These demonstrated low propionic and-butyric acids (I and 11) have been synthesized. the appropriate w-aminoalkanoic acid ester and cyclization in base afforded the uracilalkanoic acid. gave the nitrouracilalkanoic acid which was esterified, reduced to the amine, and hgdroxyethylated. tion with phosphoryl chloride proceeded smoothly to afford the mustards I and 11. toxicity and borderline activity against Walker 256 in the rat.
