Reactions of substituted 2-nitrochlorobenzenes I-IX and 3-nitro-4-chloroazobenzenes X-XXI with piperidine in dimethyl sulfoxide have been studied kinetically. The rate constants have been correlated with substituent (T constants. The (! constants found have been compared with those found in benzene.
