摘要

A ranking order of ortho-lithiation directed by various functional groups in arenetricarbonylchromium complexes has been determined. This order differs from that found in the free arene series. Inductive effects were found to be the dominant factor for the determination of the site of lithiation. Fluorine was found the most powerful ortho director of the groups studied.
