摘要

I? riedelj2 in a note, states that aurin is formed when carbon tetrachloride is heated with an excess of phenol and zinc chloride. Heumann3 patented a process for producing aurin by heating under pressure carbon tetrachloride and phenol with various condensing agents, such as aluminum chloride, stannic chloride or zinc chloride and he stated that without pressure, only a trace of aurin is produced.
