Abstract A new route allowing the synthesis of pyridazine-3, 6-dicarboxylic acid in preparative quantities is described. The crystal structure of this compound is reported. Several polyaza derivatives were prepared and their structures determined by specroscopic methods (ir, 1 H and 13 C nmr).
