The IR spectra of the synthesized hydroxamic acids were recorded on the Perkin-Elmer Model 22 1 spectrophotometer in the range 2000-15000 nm as KBr pellets. The UV spectra were recorded on a Beckman DU-2 spectrophotometer in ethanol. Ethanol was purified by the method of Vogel (3). Add Chlorldes.
