摘要

Abstract An array of 1, 3-diarylbenzo [c] thiophenes have been synthesized by the ring- opening of lactones followed by thionation using Lawesson's reagent with concurrent intramolecular cyclization. Photophysical studies of the various benzo [c] thiophene analogues are presented.
