摘要

On ozonization of (S)-(-)-dihydrolinalool (III) and subsequent oxidation of the resulting crude reaction mixture with potassium permanganate in acidic medium, we obtained a neutral liquid product of molecular formula C7H120 2 which, according to the infra-red spectrum (1783 cm-1,,,(-lactone) had to be the lactone IVa.
