摘要

The Wittig method of olefin synthesis has been extended to include aliphatic aldehydes as the carbonyl function. Both gaseous and paraformaldehyde, acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde, n-and isobutyraldehyde, n-hexaldehyde, 4-pentenal, acrolein, and methacrolein have been utilized for preparation of a number of olefins containing ethylene, butadienyl and isoprenyl linkages.
