The regioselectivity of bromination of ω-phenylpolyoxaalkanes and alkanols by bromine in aqueous solution of dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and aqueous solution of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) are shown to be related to the average orientation of substrate as indicated
