Abstract By reaction of pentamethylcyclopentadienyllithium (pcpLi) with the corresponding chloro-silanes and-germanes, the h 1-pcp-silanes and-germanes I–IX are synthesized. Nucleophilic substitution reactions at the pcp-chlorogermane VII lead to the h 1-pcp- germanes X–XIII.
