摘要

ABSTRACT A simple, fast and efficient method of synthesis of 4-alkoxy-4′- hydroxybiphenyls has been described. The reactions of 4, 4′-dihydroxybiphenyl with appropriate alkyl halides were carried out over 3 h in DMSO in presence of solid powdered KOH.
