Arylsilanes are efficient reagents for the gold-catalyzed oxyarylation of alkenes (21 examples, up to 85% isolated yield). Using commercially available Ph3PAuCl and readily prepared, benign arylsilanes, these two-and three-component reactions proceed smoothly in air.
