... Syn., 46, 78 (1966)]. The nmr spectrum of phenyl (2-oxopropyl) sulfoxide has the fol- lowing signals: 6 (CC14) 2.23 (s, 3 H, COMe), 3.80 (s, 2 H, -CH2-), 7.55 (m, 5 H).
