prepared by the method of Taylor! It was crystallized several times from hexane at-20 to-18" C. IR (CH2ClJ: c-0 stretch at 1800 and 1770 cm-l, C-0 at 1230 cm". Iodometric titer 99.1%. Silica. The silica was Fisher 5-679, similar to that described previously? dried overnight at 130 OC.
