摘要

Recently, molecular iodine has attracted much attention as a catalyst for organic transformations because it is inexpensive, nonmetallic, and readily available. 8 and 9 The usefulness of molecular iodine is as a mild Lewis acid. Due to the mild Lewis acid character, Mannich-type reaction, 10a allylation reaction of allylsilane to aldehyde, 10b and aldimine, 10c and Michael reaction 10d were successfully achieved by means of iodine.
