摘要

(Aroylmethyiene) isoquinoilnlum ylides on their reaction with different a,@-unsaturated ketones gave a wide variety of 2, 4, 6-triaryl-substituted pyridines whlch are expected to possess some potential biological activities. The reaction seemed to proceed via (pentane- 1, 5-dionyl) lsoquinoiinium derivatives (3a-t) as intermediates. Ammonium acetate in acetic acid was used as a cyclization agent.
